This is a very nice fixture. Our only reservations about it are a) the glass isn't as amber as we expected and hoped it would be, and b) a couple of the bronze parts that the glass sits in (not sure what to call them) are a bit crooked, causing the glass not to sit completely straight as viewed in the picture.

To what degree do cognac crackle glass globes cut down on light from bulbs? A:Well there is not an actual percentage. The glass on those is meant to provide a warmer, softer light. Keep in mind they take 100 watt bulbs. Normally I say you might even put lower wattage than 100 in fixtures with a white glass. Jeffrey
